Maintenance-By-the-Hour (MBH™)

On a cost per flying hour basis, our MBH™ programme undertakes the provision for spares, repair and technical studies of customers’ aircraft components, covering all component aspects necessary to keep your aircraft flying.

Since the launch of our MBH™ programme in 1990, ST Aerospace supports more than 600 aircraft under MBH™ today covering Airbus A320 family, A330, A340, Boeing 737CG/NG, 767, MD80, MD90, F50 and Q400 aircraft.

Our cost per flight hour service package includes:

  • Rotable inventory consignment and pool access
  • Serviceable components for advance exchange to customers who need to replace unserviceable components
  • Repair and warranty administration of the unserviceable components
  • Component technical management services covering modification and pool configuration management and reliability services
  • Sale and lease back of customer assets, helping customers to minimize and/or avoid capital expenditure

Our Capabilities

With state-of-the-art repair and rework infrastructure strategically located around the globe, we have the capability to perform comprehensive testing (including automated testing equipment), repair and overhaul for avionics, electrical and mechanical components, landing gears and aerostructures.

  • Component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)
    We support a wide range of aircraft platforms including the Airbus A320 family, A330, A340, Boeing 737CG/NG, 747, 757, 767, 777, DC10, MD11, MD80, MD90, F50, Q400, Eurocopter, Bell helicopters.
     
  • Aerostructures
    We support thrust reversers for Airbus A300 (PW4158), A310 (PW4158), Boeing 737NG (CFM56-7B), 747 (PW4056), 767 (PW4056) and MD80 (JT8D-200), as well as nacelles, wingtips and flight controls.
     
  • Landing gears
    We support landing gears for Airbus A320, A330, A340, Boeing 737NG, MD80, MD90, ATR42, ATR72, Do328, CRJ100/200, F27, F50, CL601, CL604 and L100.

We also undertake material supply, warehousing and material management, Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) spares support and aircraft parts trading, offering customers a fully integrated suite of aircraft component management and support services.

Our Expertise and Credentials

Our in-house component repair facilities comply with various international standards and requirements, and are certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB), the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and other airworthiness authorities.

Our maintenance and management processes have attained various aerospace standards and quality management systems certifications, including AS9120, AS9110, AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001.

OEM Partnerships

Our close cooperation with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) allows us to provide timely, reliable and cost effective maintenance solutions to customers. Such collaborative partnerships include OEM representation, distributorship and service centre authorisations, parts procurement and repair network in support of our component solutions.

Responsive and Dedicated Service

Our account managers are supported by AOG customer service teams to support customers’ operations on a 24/7 basis. Our management processes, inventory and logistics operations are integrated via enterprise IT systems. With our asset pool strategically distributed around the world and an excellent logistics network, ST Aerospace provides prompt and responsive delivery of services to customers’ locations. Our IT system allows our AOG customer service teams to access, on a near realtime basis, the location and availability of our global rotables assets to meet customer demands.
