Singapore, 8 April 2010 – ST Aerospace was among nine suppliers honoured by Spring Airlines in Spring Airlines’ first supplier conference held in Shanghai this year with a delegation of more than 100 vendors.  ST Aerospace’s subsidiary, ST Aerospace Supplies Pte Ltd, received from Spring Airlines an Outstanding Supplier Award in the Aircraft Material Suppliers’ category.

Spring Airlines’ Outstanding Supplier Award recognises its suppliers who have worked with Spring Airlines.  Recipients are selected for this award based on stringent performance criteria for quality, responsive services, quick turnaround time and value pricing.

Spring Airlines’ relationship with ST Aerospace began in 2005 when it secured the MBH™ programme to provide component services to Spring Airlines’ fleet of 15 Airbus A320 then.  Since then, ST Aerospace has also provided airframe services (including C and D checks, seats and slides overhaul and Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) support) to Spring’s Airbus A320 fleet through its Shanghai facility, and tapped on its aviation logistics facility in Guangzhou to provide import, export, warehousing and logistics services of components to the customer.

Today, ST Aerospace announced its recent contract expansion with Spring Airlines to continue providing component services (including component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), pool access and consignment services) for its expected aircraft fleet of up to 78 Airbus A320 aircraft.  The contract expansion testifies to Spring Airlines’ continued confidence in ST Aerospace’s quality services.
